Bugger!

Well it doesn't look like I'll be playing ice hockey this season..... I fractured my wrist at training thursday night. My hand was just in a bad place when i got checked, and when going fairly fast in the opposite direction to the person checking you, apparently the force of impact is higher than the strength of bone. Spoke to the surgeon today and I shouldn't need surgery which is nice, but it's my dominant hand so i'm a bit of a gimp for a while. Luckily i'll still be able to work, going back in the morning. Only two days left this week luckily. So yeah, attached a pic from the CT scan to give you an idea of the damage. I suspect my glove and elbow pad prevented it from being a more severe injury.
