Hockey
I love hockey. I didn't realise quite how much I missed it till I started playing again. I stopped? Yes that's right, I didn't play hockey for about 3 years due to a shoulder injury, which gave me trouble for a few years before I quit, and required surgery (why I quit) to fix it.... surgery was good cause it fixed it, but bad cause they shaved about an inch off my collar bone, and probably the clavicle to i guess, so now I have one shoulder noticeably broader than the other... oh well.
Oh yeah, back to the point. I'm really loving playing hockey again (ice hockey btw) as I didn't really do any other exercise while I wasn't playing, so even though I didn't really put on much weight (i did gain a little, or maybe just got a bit flabby) I did become rather unfit.
I play in two leagues, Senior A and Super league. Senior A is for anyone over 18, or juniors good enough to play up, and super league is for the better players. My Senior A team is top of the league, having won 9 of 10 games, my super league team, which has a lot of the same players as the Senior A side is bottom of the league, having not won a game yet. Despite this I much prefer playing Super League, as it actually feels like you're playing a proper game, and you have to hit hard or you get hit hard, whereas in Senior A I almost feel bad for hitting them hard and I'm yet to cop a decent hit from someone. Oh well... it's keeping me fit, that's the main thing.
